Practical Amazon Relay filter guide

Amazon Relay Pickup Time Filters: Fixed, Classic and Smart

Choose a pickup window that matches the driver, the clock and the saved search you are already using.

Amazing Relay adds three ways to manage pickup timing. The right choice depends on whether the accepted range should stay fixed, move continuously, or begin as a manual future window.

What changes as time moves forward

Timeline comparison of Fixed, Classic and Smart pickup windows in Amazing Relay
Each pair shows the same search earlier in pale teal and later in orange. Fixed keeps both dates unchanged. Classic moves the whole window forward. Smart keeps the manual earliest pickup and advances the maximum once the rolling horizon catches up.

Fixed

Fixed uses the Pickup date MIN and MAX you enter. Both boundaries stay unchanged as the clock moves.

Use it for:

A specific dispatch window, such as tomorrow from 08:00 to 14:00.

Classic

Classic searches from the current time through the selected pickup duration. The entire window moves forward with the clock.

Use it for:

The next two, three or six hours, regardless of the exact clock time.

Smart

Smart keeps its own manual dates, then prevents Pickup date MAX from falling behind the current time plus the selected duration.

Use it for:

A future manual range that should begin extending after the rolling window catches it.

Pickup readiness

Add preparation and driving time before pickup

Stem time reserves preparation time. Pickup Deadhead converts rounded deadhead miles into estimated driving minutes per mile. A load qualifies only when there is enough lead time for both.

Flexible pickup

Amazing Relay uses pickup slots that Amazon actually provides

Some loads include more than one pickup time. Amazing Relay can move to the nearest later Amazon slot that passes the pickup dates, mode duration, Stem time and pickup Deadhead. It does not invent a time inside the displayed pickup window.

Verify before Autobook

Test the pickup window in Monitoring first

Open a real Amazon saved search, select the mode, confirm the time zone, Stem time and Deadhead, then press START in Monitoring. Inspect both matching and rejected loads before using the same rules with Autobook.

  1. 1Choose Fixed, Classic or Smart.
  2. 2Set the pickup range and readiness values.
  3. 3Run Monitoring and review the results.
